i'm kind of embarrassed to post these pictures after seeing some of the nicely done ones around here, especially justabuyer's and LVC's to mention a couple great ones of late, but what the hell...

after seeing KAAK's thread on the guard tutorial, and then seeing the paracord thread in GBU i ended up ordering a spool of black paracord. i spent a couple hours (well, maybe 3 or 4) farting around last night, and this is what i came up with. sorry in advance for the poor pic quality, but hopefully you get the idea...

i've still got about 280' of this stuff left, so we'll see what i can come up with. unless i cut these off i guess the guard is out for now since i already have cord in the lower talon holes.
