A little levity

Quite True. However if there is ever another flood I will be chosen from on high to build the ark to save junk because I have at least 2 of everything. I guess I should start building the boat now I wonder if there is any gopher wood for sale on EBAY. LT

feet x12 divided by 20.6 inches. :D

69.9 cubits long, 9 cubits beam, 4.95 cubits draft.

I got lost on most of that except I know what Beam is ( Jim Beam) and a draft is a glass of Beer, right. So a cubit is like a boiler maker or as some call them a depth charge if you drop the shot of beam in the draft beer. Most of my education was in Scullys an irish joint that if you could get your quarter on top of the bar you got a beer ( that was kind of like the age, or I guess height, requirment ) . Since I was married at 17 and we had 5 children by the age of 22, I was more concerned with there education rather than mine. You have to go easy on that math with me. I do Ok at poker and counting money. But I used to think trig was the first part of Roy Rogers horses name. LT

If you don´t get enough of ebay in the USA, you can always try the Mexican version:

LT, we former statisticians know that you have to get at least two of everything, otherwise you cannot estimate variance.

I second Don Luis' comments.....

Not as a statistician, as that leaves me in the whittlin' chips.....but because I know that without 2 (Two) of anything, there won't be any little variances......and no need for statisticians or cubits....or any of that stuff on eBay, either.

Gopher wood.....hmmm....let me check in Bullhead City. Could we use Mesquite? Probably not, huh?

{"Gopher wood" is a misreading and scribal error. "Kopher" wood is correct and means wood (any wood) that is covered with Kopher. Kopher is bitumen. In the Genesis text (6:14), the context is clear. The GPR wood used, (a scribal error) is to be covered in KPR. G and K in Hebrew are so similar that inexperienced Hebrew "scholars," such as those translating the King James Version of the Bible, could have been prone to such errors, indeed, they made many such errors. }

So, if you believe this opinion from an "ark" site, any old wood will do. Mesquite might be a tad hard to get in larger sizes, but it would make for a good roasting fire after the water goes down.

Thank you Codger, that was "Enlightening"...... :)

One can get educated on a plethora of subjects here on this forum.

Phil, whatever led you to uncover that ditty, might I ask? Were you drinking that strange coffee Larry was talking about? :D

Oh, and LT.......if you do that 2 of everything deal.....could you please leave out scorpions? They are icky and don't really make good chili. I would never use my Frontier Double Eagle to cut them up, either. I just have to 'fess up after all this time.
