Finally couldn't stand it any longer. I was compelled to whack something with a FBM, and when I found a broken limb at the back of my property, I had just the excuse I needed. Though the limb had some decay in spots, the mid-section was nice, dense hardwood. I took out a few choppers to get some bases for comparison. Among them was a HOGFSH, a Ranger RD-9, an Ontario RTAK II, and a Camillus BK-4 Machax. And of course, the FBM CG.
The FBM blew every other knife out of the water in terms of wood taken out per chop and depth of penetration. I was duly impressed. IMO, about the only thing that's going to top it will be the LE.
