i have more pics in the w&ss sub-forum: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=801190

That trap should work out just fine.

Really digging the "blacked out" Junglas also, looks badass.

Sweet pics man, awesome scenery, great knives!

Great pics, love the figure-4!

thanks! i have the itch to go out there again sometime soon.

That figure 4 made me laugh hard. I suspect we must be neighbors because I can think of only three states that look like that right now. It can't be my state because even here in the Pocono's we don't have that much snow yet. I'm going with Southeastern NY?

haha, yeah as soon as i saw that boulder i just had to take that shot. yup, se ny, just across the border from north nj. harriman state park near west point (military academy) specifically.

Awesome! I do some herpetology related stuff up that way some times. I just found the link to your post on the wildneress subboard. Haha, don't know how I missed that the first time. Great post!

interesting. i've been hiking on that area since this spring and i have yet to see any snakes :grumpy: then again i wasn't looking specifically for them but i had my eyes open for one. it would've been nice to see one outside of that reptile show in hamburg. in the meantime i went hiking in the same general area a few weeks ago with rescueriley and some other members from here and he spots one without even trying!

Cool pix -- I need to get outside more!

definitely! aside from alcohol, the woods is the only thing that really relaxes me. i can literally stare at a bonfire for hours while sipping bourbon :D

Winter is here too. I actually went mountain biking today too. Only, it was 79 degrees outside :)

shudup! :D it was only 17 degrees last saturday when we rolled off the parking lot at 8:30 am  man, the first 20 minutes is rough but after that i'm actually on the verge of sweating so i pull over to remove practically all my layers. honestly, i'll take 17 deg over 90+ deg...i regularly drank 3 liters from my camelbak and then chugged more after we got back to the parking lot, i was sweating so much this summer.

Haha, They are a lot easier to find when you spend your time specifically looking for them. Practice helps a lot too. When the herping season starts again this comming year I'll take you out if you want to see some stuff.
