A new one by Ray Cover. ATS-34, ivory micarta, classic Cover dovetailed bolsters. I think the red liner looks pretty sharp with ivory micarta. A tad over 3 inches. Both the blade profile and the handle profile are a little different from Ray's work that I am familiar with.
(thanks Vince )

The red liners do look good! Back in about 1985 I had Paul Myers build a small single bladed slipjoint for me using elephant Ivory and red liners.

Great looking knife!

Ken

Ken, Paul Meyers is still doing shows. I see him a couple of times a year, never bought one of his knives though.

Nice Cover, Thomason

Nice one Rob. I really like the way the red liners accent the ivory micarta.

Oh yeah! I like that little 'n.

So Rob, if you come to blade and your pocket get's picked. Look for me first.:D

Move over Rover, Rob's got a new Cover!

I'm pretty sure Ray redesigned his model 4 a little bit, I think this is the new version.

No, this is an entirely different and smaller model that I requested (not designed) from Ray a few years ago . The redesigned Number 4 is a larger knife that looks like the one on the bottom of this pic:

Here's one that's been in my EDC rotation since December:

Thanks for the clarification. I've got a redesigned number 4 on order - nice to know what to expect. :D

A couple more Covers. Mastodon ivory lockback, ATS-34, about 3 3/4 inches. Ivory micarta fixed blade, ATS-34, about 8 1/4 inches. This is my first fixed blade by Ray and it is just a clean as his folders. Research reveals that a mastodon and a mammoth are similar critters but with differences only a knifeknut or another mastodon can appreciate. Sure makes a pretty knife handle.

Rob, I LOVE that lockback, really nice score. Hope to have some of those lockbacks myself one of these days. Congrats to you and Ray.
Jim

Those are both very yummy, Rob. Too bad we don't have a mastodon or mammoth to try them out on. Or even one of those micarta critters.

*drool*

Good to see a different pattern... that flattened back is nice, and I am a real fan of skinner blades and variations of them.

Great looking knives you got there Rob. Congrats.
The sheath knife looks like a neat one as well.
