I have been sandbagging in the forums for some time and thought it was my turn to post some images.

I do have to say that this is the best site I have found with people sharing both a love of outdoor skills and sharp things. In my opinion you can't have one without the other.

The pictures are of a day hike to my favorite area that I have hiked and camped on for over 30 years.

Enjoy!

Hopefully the link works as it is my first attempt at posting photos

Looks like a pretty nice spot:thumbup: How do you like those Ranger Knives?

Nice pics, SurvivalisT69. Nice looking area, nice gear, and some studly steel, too.

Welcome aboard Blade Forums.

Welcome and thanks for sharing your favorite spot with us. It's easy to see why you like it so much.

What part of Florida?

I've been to Florida some years ago on my job, pinned down to seaside are for a couple of days.
Nice place without no doubt but must be even nicer if I knew a place like this!

I'm particularly interested in your handy radio set. People are satisfied with their
cell phone these days and there's nothing wrong but I prefer radio like yours.

Thanks for the replies!

To answer some of the questions:

The Ranger knives are great blades. They hold an edge well and can take the abuse. The larger version is a good chopper tho not as good as my dog father.

The area is around the Hillsborough River flood plain. There is a lot of area there that is occupied by nothing but hogs and deer.

The radio is a Yaesu VX-7R. It is a great piece of gear. Cell phones do not work well in the areas I go and this along with a roll-up j-pole antenna strung up in a tree allows me to hit several repeaters.

Thanks again guys and I will try to post some more.

Nice rig you got there, I was gonna say looks like there would be some great hog hunting in the area, I think you might need a few more blades with you though, haha. no really thanks for sharing some great pics.
