A little question

Hello everybody

Firstly, sorry for my bad english.

My dad had a beautiful dagger, but I can't find it any more.

It was a dagger with a black blade (who cut very well), a cylindrical black handle, which can be opened by unscrewing the bottom of it, and you can put some small things in it, (aspirins, matches...).
It might be a dagger from South Africa, but I am not really sure

May be some of you can help me ?
