A little snake skin for the BK 16 !

This was a quick first go at it! As I get better at it, I may step up to rattle skin. It looks black, but it's navy blue, I thought it would look good with my clitch job. Look's to shiny for me, being dark. Maybe lighter colors will help.

that is cool...but what is it??? something applied over the scales? replacement scales? something u did TO the factory scales? Tell us the details man! looks awesome, just not sure what kind of awesome it is lol

lol! It's just some cheap ass snake skin, I found on the bay. I wanted to try something with the extra set of tan scales they send you with the BK16, being bored. Super glue, and trimming. Nothing special. Just looking out side the box. The feel is to slick for me, thats why i'm going to try some other skins.

so its actually snakeskin! LOL I was thinking just a snakeskin pattern. Thats cool as hell! Never woulda thought about doing that! 'skin looks really great on custom recurve limbs!

Get some Duracoat (this isn't in the pic) and do something like this for the blade....
