Got me a Case Sodbuster Jr in stainless and I like it as much as my CV Soddie. The snap is perfect and the black handle with brass pins looks great. One thing though...bladeplay. I hate bladeplay! So my question for all the fine knowledgable folks 'round these parts is; anyone have a home remedy for a Soddie with a moderate amount of bladeplay, about 3/16" at the tip side to side. I'd really like to fix this myself if I can.

I'd just send it back to Case for fixing. The knife shouldn't be doing that. Mine is rock solid.

Yup. I second just sending it back to Case to get fixed. I played with a couple soddie jrs and there were all ROCK solid with no bladeplay.

I have lots of sodbuster jrs and none have any blade play. I agree, send it to Case and they will take care of it.

It can be fixed easily by tapping the rivet a bit, but If you don't know what your doing its real easy to make the knife a pain to open... or not open at all. Best bet is to send it back..

Sorry Blues, couldn't find the original thread.
Just wanted to thank all who gave me the good advice about sending my Case Soddie Jr. back for repair rather than doing it myself. To say that Case does great work is an understatement. This knife was suffering from some bladeplay and it came back to me today zero play great snap, buffed, cleaned up and sharpened. Very pleased. Quick turnaround time too! Just a couple of weeks total time gone. One of the reasons I'm coming here more and more often is if I've learned one thing in the last couple years its; get your info from the experts, then make your decision. Where else is someone going to get better advice about a trusty traditional?;)

Here ya go...all merged up now.

The two that I have, a reg and small, are tight. I had to work them down a bit, still tight.
