For those of you who use Flitz or Simichrome, a really great upgrade to that old T-shirt you are using is the Flitz polishing cloth. I bought on on a whim, and I like it so darn much. I have to tell you guys about it. It seems to absorb the excess polish and all the oxides right off the blade. The cool part is, it makes your polish last longer (?). Kind of weird, but it does not smear the polish all over the place like a T-shirt will. I find when I am using a t-shirt or cotton, I have to keep changing spots to keep a fresh batch of polish on the blade. This new Flitz cloth seems to need changing spots less-often.

Hey wth, give it a try!

Higgy, your case of polishing cloths will be arriving soon from Flitz.
I use the polishing cloths from the jewelery store after they become to dirty looking for counter use. They do seem to hold the polish better than old rags.

Thank you, Stacy. You are the best! :D

Aw, don't tell me the Flitz cloths are impregnated? I thought they were just branded!

I bought rouge polishing cloths from a jewellers' supply place, leaving the Flitz ones I got for next to nothing unused...
