I bumped into a park warden today who informed me that my dogs should be on a leash....I thanked her for this info and quickly decided that I would have to head over the little river where I wouldn't risk running into her again !!!

I showed another of my mates this Breeden yesterday and he was really impressed with how it performed !

All my bits made !

You will see that rather than cutting the little branch off the bait stick I decided to save some effort and instead work with what nature had provided !

Back on the other side I leashed the dogs and fixed a fake smile ready for that nice park warden !

Nice work, Pit.

I was wondering, have your dogs ever tripped one of your traps by accident?

Yeah I'm afraid they have buddy, Snicker once got caught in a Squirrel snare and Maisy once triggered a big deadfall. The deadfall could have been nasty, it had a paracord trip line to trigger it. I had turned my back for a second when heard the log drop, luckily Maisy had pulled the paracord with her teeth rather than passing through it with her body. This meant that the log dropped in front of her !!! That was a big lesson for me, won't be making that mistake again !!!!!

Wow, gorgeous photography. Can't wait until my backpacking season starts.

And boy do I love a good dead fall. Nice work.

Pretty cool way to do your trap. I love seeing them Breeden knives at work:thumbup:, You really are getting some great use of that new camera and the different ways you cand post them pics you take.

Another great post.

Great pics . My dogs and I also have to dodge the park officials around here . Most of them are pretty forgiving and have a sense of humor . There is one however who is all business . We avoid him like the plague .

Humm out on a nice walk today with my two dogs and found 3 sticks that looked just like that sitting on a stump. I love that park.

Great pics!

I grew up in BC, and I miss the dense green foliage. I don't miss the rain though :)

Pit, read your local laws and ordinances with a magnifying glass. Many state that the dog must be on leash and under the owner/handler's control. They do not, however, state what length the leash need be, or that it must be in your hand. In which case, a 6 inch tab, such as you would hang keys from a belt with, takes care of the technicality. Might not take care of the now pissed official who thinks you're a smart @$$, but it does get you around the legality! ;)
