A lot of my options (text size, bold, italics etc...) are grayed out.

Not sure why this is happening to me. I can't do bold, change the text size, emojis, underline or anything on the top line. this happening about 2 weeks ago and it hasn't gone away.

Select the 3 dots on the right for more options.
Then click the Brackets icon.
