Cheers folks! Greetings from Norway!
What can I say. Yesterday I fell in LOVE with a Busse, a bushwacker mistress to boot.
I and a friend stacked two big logs as a target and proceeded to throw the mistress at different distances. Its been a while since I threw any knife, so I was initially a bit intimidated by the sheer weight and force of the knife, but quickly I was taken by the Zen spirit and began getting good hits.
Then the "climax". After getting the hang of it I stepped back to 36 feet or a bit more, aimed high, took a deep breath and sent the mistress flying. It was a great hit, burying the knife center high on the top log, and it practically was standing perfectly straight as water.
Wow. What a rush. Its been a long time since I've had as much fun. My poor girlfriend (which did not paricipate) had to listen to my bragging at least five times last night.
Now, I know its not mainly a throwing knife, but man... what an impact and feeling. It would also be a very useful tool when roaming around the woods here, for chopping trees and such.
In other words, I WILL get a Busse as soon as my economy allows it. Perhaps not the first few months but as soon as I can manage. It will be interesting to see whats available at the time I'm going to order. I used to collect quite a few knives when I was younger, but none were even close to this kind of quality and beauty (and price I must add
).
Just wanted to share my enthusiasm
Regards,
Chris
