A lower leg thing to carry a boot knife without using a boot

I'd like a way to secure the sheath of a boot knife (specifically, a push knife) on my lower leg, inside my pants, without attaching the sheath to a boot. So, what I'd like is some sort of strap or something that's at least 3" wide that can be worn on my lower leg inside my pants, and is not some sort of sock or top portion of a sock. However, I cannot find any such thing that will meet my specification.

Suggestions anybody?

Hi...

There is a simple solution to this..will take you about 5 minutes to rig up...
All you need is a piece of paracord...

Make a loop that fits around your ankle..The more simple the better,,a slip knot will work..
Attach the other end of the loop to the sheath..Remove any clips or belt loops, and simply put your foot in the boot with the paracord attached to your ankle..
you will need to adjust the length or the cord probably....

Now what you have is a knife in your boot on a static line.
Pull the knife out of your boot, and keep pulling until the knife frees itself from the sheath..Keep it short,,and your draw stroke will be quick,,and you won't be tripping on a dangling sheath....

This method is quick simple, and will protect your leg from a possible nasty cut when drawing quickly....

Hope that helps,,Try it,,it's pretty handy...

Good post, thats exactly what I do...whenever I put a knife in my boot..I get nasty bruises..and walk like a gimp.

I find it very troublesome to wear a boot knife with a boot. I wear boot knives with sneakers or loafers - put on one pair of socks, lash the knife securely above the ankle with paracord, and put on another pair of sock. This works best with cargo pants that fit - the pants leg hides the knife, but you can remove the knife quickly. Obviously, the knife should have a good sheath; concealex works best for me.

For some reason this causes me no discomfort unless I am doing long distance running. Maybe I am just used to it.
