Hello all, first post and new to the forum format so, if this needs moved please, let the moderators know.

My question is, are there any online businesses taking orders for aftermarket knife scales in micarta or g10? I’ve searched with every combination of verbiage I could think of on the net and in Etsy with no luck. Specifically, I am considering getting a BM mini Griptilian but, the stock grips are not what I want on it for an edc...tia

deathofallthings is the best aftermarket Benchmade scale maker in the business.

Do a Google search for @DeathGripScales, and you'll see his IG link and website.

His name is Ryan, and he's a great guy to deal with.

He has an account here on BF, and used to be very active here, but has moved his business dealings to IG and his own website.

Here's a thread of his, with 24 pages of examples of what he's capable of making.

Pictures of his recent work are on his website. 🍻

I went on his website and everything is out of stock and figured the business is defunct.

Try contacting him. :rolleyes: I can assure you, his business isn't defunct.


You'll rarely ever see anything in stock on his website. The majority of his business is custom orders.
His lead time, for me, has always averaged about a month.
One of my co-workers ordered a set for his Mini-Griptilian around October of last year,
and it took right at a month for him to get them in hand.
