Yet another good Samaritan has offered this one up for Mike:
=========================================

A 19 1/4" Malla, 1 lb., 1 oz., by the KNN crowd. Karda and Chakma OK,
Karda has brass bolster. Sheath is by the Sarki WNN, tooled with the
"Dragon on the Water" motif, and fits the blade perfectly. The handle is
the best piece of Saatisal to come out of Nepal in some time. It had a
small crack (easily fixed with super glue and barely noticeable) but is
one of the most beautifully grained pieces I've seen. Dark bands that
are broken with gold chips when the knife is turned, and when turned
further, disappear into the background color. At this time, the handle
has around 40 onion-skin thin coats of oil, sanded and steel wooled
between each, with over 70 hours of work invested. It can be taken
farther - every new coat brings out something not there before. This is
a rare piece of Saatisal, and its' like won't be seen often.

I'll open it up at $125.
