Hope everyone had a great holiday and is ready for the new year. I am excited for 2014 and can't wait to see what it brings.

My brother asked me to make two knives for Christmas presents that he wanted to give to his future father-in-law and brother-in-law. He paid for the materials and I donated my time. Pretty happy with the turn out. We decided on mammoth bark ivory and mammoth tooth for the handles but he gave me free reign on the rest. This is what I came up with. Hope you like them...

Thanks for checking them out!

Great work! I love the light remnants of the flat grind. It shows it was hand made and at the same time shows you didn't have to sand out and imperfections. They are fantastic.

I like the finish of the blade on the one with mammoth tooth and the mammoth bark ivory handle of the other.

Nice work, your brother and his future in-laws should be very happy!

Wow those are both awesome and great gifts!

Thank you!

I appreciate the compliments. I almost gave it a hand rubbed finish but ran out of time. But the grinder marks have grown on me.

Thank you

That one was acid etched and tumbled. Still experimenting with the process but finally starting to figure it out.

Thank you! They are very happy.
