I recieved my CV Stockman today. It is a 6375 CV Stockman, it is going to become my "user" and will backup my sheath knives. The fit and finish are a toolmakers dream. I had to replace a Sowbelly I lost last year, they just don't make those in CV.

I'm going to make a slip for my pocket and it will ride in my Wrangler's front pocket next to my billfold. This blade just screams "Cowpuncher!"

Anybody else like this pattern and blade combination?

That's my favorite slipjoint pattern, which one did you get? An Amber Bone 6375 or the Bonestag 6.5375. The latter in CV is one of my best users.

I have the Large Stockman in the Yellow with CV and just love it.One of the best "new" Cases I have ever bought, great walk and talk and the steel is excellent..to bad they discontinued the CV model.......should have bought one for the collection too!
I have developed a great patina on the knife and like the large blades!

Got the amberbone and yellow derlin models myself, super knives all the way around. I hope Case keeps making these in CV in upcoming years, great for the user and collector.

Mr. Last Confederate (are you sure you are the last? Always wanted to ask you that.)

I am the proud owner of the Amber Bone CV. My partners are envious, can't wait to put a little patina on the blades. I am going to look for a yellow derlin now and I sure wish Case would make a CV Sowbelly with Redbone pocketworn scales.

Thank you for the responses. I got a little worried about the title of the thread after I saw it posted, I guess I have a hard time with political correctness, so my boss says.

Thank you again.

Have you seen the big stockman in the bonestag? They make it in CV. I wish Case would make more of everything in the CV, including a nice sowbelly.

Mr. Pickupman,

That would be the one we are speaking of. Maybe us Sowbelly guys could convince Case to do it. But then what would I do with my new Large Stockman?

I will be! :D

We think alike, in a Case forum, that was my 2006 wish list knife, a CV Sowbelly!

My 6375 is a 2000 Chestnut bone CV. Definitely one of my favorite EDC's.

I've been looking for one from before about 1985 (when Case fit and finish was even better, IMO) but MAN are they expensive! It turns out this is one of the hottest collector patterns, no doubt due to it's continual popularity.

Put me down for one of those, too!! I've got a Tested XX Midnight Sowbelly that I adore, but have to sharpen waaay too often.

I don't have a 6375 but I have a 6275 moose. Great knife! Strong and a great slicer to. It's a man's knife for sure.
