I like doing matched sets. The challenge of getting the knives the same but keeping them different, each an individual, has always appealed to me. Here's my latest effort.

My Ranchero model. 7.5" overall with a 3.25" blade. These two are handled in sheep horn with red liners and red and black spacers and have engraved nickel silver bolsters. Engraving by Mike Vatalero of Taps Bit and Spur Shop.

The knives in their Slot and Loop sheaths. This sheath is designed as a cross draw but can be worn on the other side as well simply by flipping it over and wearing it under the belt, a popular option for some.

Thanks for looking and questions and comments always welcome.

Gorgeous knives, the engraving is a very nice touch.

Always been a big fan of sheephorn and those are beautiful....great job. :)

Thanks sir! Me too. Lately it seems that alot of the sheep horn I've been getting will go translucent. So I started dyeing the back sides before putting them on. This worked for many years and then all of a sudden not so much. I had one and you could see right through it to the tang. Could see the lightening holes I drill in the tang. One side more than the other. So I chiselled it off thinking I'd forgot to dye it. got er off and found I had not forgoteen. So went to using the liners. I've found it very interesting the effects diffenet colored liners will have.
