A message for you from my good friend AT Barr

I have been good friends with AT and Barbara Barr for about 7 years; ever since I got into custom knives. I talk with him 4-5 times a week. Two days ago he and I talked and he broke some sad news for the knife making and collecting world - that is his retirement from making and selling knives.

AT has asked me to pass this information to you since he is unable to log in to Bladeforums (a e-mail/password issue).



AT has posted this information on other forums as well.

I'm sorry to hear that. We only met once but he seemed like a fine fellow and was very willing to talk to a nobody like me. He certainly made some great looking knives!

I hope his retirement is self-chosen and not due to health or family issues. Regardless, I wish him the best in his retirement.

I just recently got to know A.T. and i can say that he's one of the nicest I've ever talked to. I wish him all the best.
 
Sorry to hear AT is getting out of the business. A good man with a lot of knife savvy. I know you two will still talk on a regular basis.
