Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes...
To All Derespina Knives customers,
Firstly thanks so much for all the orders and patience that you have shown me. Second, as a part time knifemaker (hopefully full time next year), it has been encouraging and also difficult keeping up with the orders. That brings me to the reason for this post. I am currently way behind on my orders. Due in part to a myriad of reasons. One being my part time status and of course having to work a day job on top of knifemaking. Also, the flood of orders that have overwhelmed me in the last year. It was an unexpected occurance although it was nice to be liked. As well some equipment and technical difficulties added to the mix to keep things backed up and unfinished. Then throw in a rough tax season..grrrrr ! Excuses, excuses. So I am typing all this to apologize for all the late deliveries of recent.
I assure all standing orders will be filled very soon. As soon as I can fix two of my machines (any moment now), and catch up on back orders. Please extend a little more patience and I promise you will recieve your knife as promised. I am approximately 2 months behind several estimated delivery times. None of you have been forgotten and I will make good as agreed. The last reason for typing this is my computer sux big time. The damn thing is temperamental when it comes to email so I thought I would throw a huge blanket on this issue for all to see. As well, due to the surge of orders. The current wait time has been pushed back to a year. Please for all new orders, realizethat your knife no mater how simple will not be completed until I can complete all current orders in the order they were received. To summize thanks a million to all those past orders and all those still waiting that have shown such patience and been down right cool. Much obliged. I will be in touch very soon with shipping info for you knife as promised. Take care.....Rich

Hi Rich.

You better quit your job and get to work on those orders, This is unacceptable :D . Sounds like things are going well for you in the knifemaking world. I find that as long as you are up front with people they are usually quite understanding. You make some awesome knives so I am sure people will be willing to wait while you catch up on your orders. Good luck, see you at Blade.

Take care

Eddie Baca

Thanks Eddie. much obliged ! Yes with any luck I will see you and Blade and we can hang. Will your Bro be there as well ? I am trying to keep all the orders straight and in a timely fashion for sure. I have emailed several people directly and then all the sudden I am having crazy email problems so I thought this lil post might help to get out there and spread the word to my customers of late. Hopefully this has helped with any confusion with my custoers. As well, anyone outthere that I have sent my tel number to, by all means please call me if you have any questions or concerns. Or you can PM me here at BF and I will send you my tel number to keep you informed about your order. Thanks and take care....Rich

Hi Rich.

I will keep an eye out for you at Blade, sometimes it is hard to find someone when there are so many distractions around. I always head out to find someone or something and end up doing something totaly different. Were you able to get a table?

My brother is going with me, he is going to help me watch my table and give me a break once in a while. That is if I can keep him around, maybe I will take a chain and lock him to the table :D.

good luck with your orders, it is tough to predict when you will have something done. You never know what will come along to screw up your schedual, and unless you have someone else who can do your work it is almost impossible to make up for lost time.

Take care

Eddie

I forgot to add that I Checked out your web sight last night, you have some realy great designs.

As I get my daily lurking updates in the GB&U, I am always stunned by the dedication that is paid and patience spent (wasted?) on makers who can't get ahead and DON'T communicate...

Rich here is NOT one of them. This post is going out and above to ensure that all concerned are kept in the loop. Going public with an admonition of late service is a credible way to *try* to grow a business. We all start somewhere.

I have no orders and have never even met Rich, but I can tell he's the kind of person I'd enjoy dealing with. This is why.

Nice post. Best of luck. Hope you pull ahead soon.

Coop

Eddie, thanks again bro ! I will definately find you at Blade. I didn't get a table however as I was too late and too far back on the waiting list. Maybe next year (fingers crossed). The website will be over hauled real soon with many new pics and some new models as well as the possible inclusion of mpegs.
Coop, thanks so much for the kind words. Very nice of you indeed. Just wanted to keep everyone informed and not wondering where the heck their knives were. My email is suffering temperamental fits as of late and will occasionally crap out on me when I try and send emails or replies so I thought this best here at BF. You would be a welcomed customer yourself as you appear to be a man of understanding.

Take care guys....Rich
