well, 70 in the shade... not so great a snowy winter, so some hiking and such.

found a birch tree that had rotted some, and fallen on top of another perfectly good sapling, so, out comes the handy dandy used fallkniven f1 i scored recently (yay) so cut the birch tree in half. yes, in half. to save the sapling you see.

follow this stream to find raccoon prints, clay beds, water creatures, crayfish, and a myriad of other wonders.

the head of yet another stream area, this was a beaver marsh, and off to the right, a very large lodge, now mostly rotted out. i managed to secure about 4-5 "hiking pole" size/quality saplings that were peeled by beaveroids, probably red birch or poplar. teeth marves and grooves and well seasoned too :)
