I'm a big fan of the Vantage Pro. Best knife value on the planet for a working one-hander. Has a great blade design and the best CPM S30V I've tried. I feel the same way about the Vantage Pro that I do about the 301. They aren't the fanciest knives, but they are both robust, hard working, reliable designs. I carry both frequently.
One of the things I like about the Vantage Pro design is the nice wide fat handle which fills the hand so well.
One thing I didn't like was the sharp corners along the edges and cuts of the G10. The sharp edges made it less comfortable in the hand than I felt it could be. Figured out a cure for that today. I reached into my pocket and dug out my 301. I ran the blade of my 301 at a 90° angle across each of the corners. Didn't cut into it, just knocked off the sharp part of the edges it. Took me about 2 minutes to do all the edges on both sides. Doesn't look any different, but the handle is now much more comfortable.
I should have thought of that before.
