So HeftyLefty picked up this saw sometime this summer and it's awaiting a spa treatment. In truth, I think she was more interested in the matching Disston saw sharpening vise, which is currently undergoing a refresh. Here's the saw such as it came home:

Original label on the handle, and the bolt head marked 'Disston Phila':

The etching on the blade is faded, but totally legible: "Millers Falls Mass, USA", "Langdon Mitre Box", "Millers Falls Tools"

Hard to get a picture focused on the edge, so here's a slightly blurry one against the snow for contrast:

Nice and straight:

I'll post pics of the vise when she's done rehabilitating it.

You might find this listing for a langdon with mitre box recently sold on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MILLERS-FALLS-LANGDON-ACME-No-1124-MITRE-BOX-W-22-DISSTON-SAW-HAND-SHARPENED-/121052808604?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=ohMq%252BD6p0YYNZGyqFhvXZyH4vbY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

The seller goes into detail on how he sharpened it and why. Although I don't know the seller and have not delt with him, he has an excellent reputation.

Anyway, that's a nice saw you've got there.
