I have been thinking about buying a Mnandi for a bit now and im curious i know all it has is a nail slot but is it usable one handed?

Yes, with a little practice, the Mnandi CAN be opened one handed. I CAN open mine one handed.

I have relatively small hands and I find the Mnandi easy to open one-handed. Because of the small size you'll have to experiment to see what hold works best for you.

The thumb slot may feel too sharp but you will find it works really well.

I recently took my clip off mine and carry it in my change pocket. It is very 'pinchable' for opening...which is a nice joy in itself!!!

you betcha! I have recently conceded to having a normal life with my mnandi, and dropped that puppy in with a bunch of quarters!!:D
I see no damage, though I have found that dimes do stick in the mnandi in a unique way (I gotta take a pic!!)
Life is too short not to use my mnandi as an EDC without baby'ing it.

So you don't mind a little dulling or edge damage here and there?

theoretically it could, but I've yet to experience it. there's darn good metal in that blade!

Thanks a Bunch guys!

i guess i should have searched if first but now that a very likely next purchase item.

thanks again.

I got the chance to look at a friends Mnandi before Christmas, the indentation is deep enough that my sausage links were able to open the knife one handed.
