The big problem in Florida is that some of those little "chads" didn't get stabbed all the way. We've got a lot of folks here who know some things about effective stabbing. Maybe, in 2004, as a public service, we here at Bladeforums.com can help out.
In 2004, I propose that, as a community service, we here at Bladeforums.com all volunteer to help with the Florida elections.
First, we'll offer classes in communities throughout the state on effective stabbing techniques.
Next, we'll all pack up all our various sharpening tools and head to Florida for a weekend to sharpen all those little stylus things that they use to poke the ballots. Nothing I've sharpened is gonna leave a "dimpled chad!"
We can all stay at Mike's house. He lives down there somewhere, you know.
Or, maybe we can just take up a collection and buy 'em a bunch of Mad Dog's stuff to poke those cards with. Somehow, I suspect that that would leave little question about "the voter's intent."
In the mean time, keep thinking W!
