I was admiring two knives on my desk by my computer this evening, a CRK Mnandi with box elder inlays and a decorated pin and an all titanium William Henry Titan II. Both are approx same size and both have a tip-up pocket clip.

The Mnandi has a superior lockup but I find myself carrying the William Henry more because I'm not worried about getting the handle dinged up etc.

So my proposal is two fold for CRK: please, please, please make a Mnandi with micarta inlays like the Sebenzas and the icing would be to make a Mnandi with no inlay at all - just solid titanium (maybe hollowed out on the inside to save weight with either a polished or bead blasted finish.

Am I crazy to wish such a thing? Is it blasphemy to want these things?

I was actually just wishing there was a Micarta Mnandi to go with my Sebenza the other day as well.

I'd imagine they don't make them because the Mnandi is supposed to be an attractive gentleman's knife, where as the Sebenza is just as much a worker as a looker.

I'd like Micarta too. Imagine a black linen Micarta Mnandi . . . elegant and durable.

I think J85909266 is correct though; the Mnandi is supposed to be the most elegant CRK and thus, should have wood inserts.

To me you can still be elegant and rugged. I nice green canvas micarta would be cool or if you want to be real crazy some red or black G10 would be fine by me. In my book a Mnandi can never be too dressy since it's a framelock after all (ok maybe you can make a case it's a liner lock, but I don't buy it).

The Mnandi configuration with micarta has been brought up in past threads. Also the all titanium one. I even asked Anne about this at this past June's Blade show. Sorry...no go. Not sure of the reasoning. Just not in the cards right now. We can always keep our fingers crossed. A micarta Mnandi with stone washed blade??? Shheesh...They'd sell a million of em!

 I'm really not a huge fan of wood.

I buy the CR Sebenza and Mnandi because of the woods. My edc is a 2006 Maka wood small seb. I am not afraid to use it or my mnandi. I just carry them inside my pocket in the leather slip pouch. Plain or Micarta inlays would never be part of my collection.

I did buy a small sheath for the mnandi from Wm Henry :D
