A reminder to you all that on 2:00 PM April 30th, Nevada Time, (I think Pacific?) Mary Slate will be holding a memorial service for her late husband, Rusty.

Those of you inclined are invited by his family and this forumite to observe his passing and his memory in whatever fashion you deem best at that time.

thank you,

Thanks Munk,
It's been a while since I've checked in. Too long. No matter what we're doing at the Smith Casa, we'll stop and give thanks for a good friend.

I'll remind folks at the SouthWest Khukri Khonvention...and ask Yvsa to play as well.

munk, do you think it's advisable to check Federal, state and local firearms laws before doing so?

Rusty didn't.

The 41 he gave me I think he last fired at his friend's funeral, sneaking into Calif in the hills, firing a salute, knowing a memorial service was being held below, and then back on the Nevada side before the Rangers.... That's his story, anyway.

It'll be a Saturday, so if people happened to desire the discharge of firearms they should be able to arrange it on their day off.

Rusty would like that. Or raise a WWll to the sky and hold a glass, light a candle, say a prayer, play the harmonica. Give your lady a massage with or without Rusty's oil mix.

I already marched into the hills once with the model 58 and my two older sons...not sure what I'll do this time.

Any time you feel the presence of the Great Heart in your life, Rusty would like that best of all.
