A moment of silence for my most carried knife

I'm a bit angry now. I was on my way to work, started sliding on the road due to weather. I pulled off to the side to put my chains on. I got it wrapped around the tire and noticed that the connecter was full of ice. I pulled out my mini grip to scrape it out. Got the chains on and to work in one piece, only to realize that I left my knife on the road. When I went back for it, I couldn't find it. I've accepted that it's gone, but damn I miss that knife already

That sucks, but at least they're cheap enough to replace without too much heartache. Keep an eye out on the Exchange here :)

I would go back one more time to look for it, maybe with someone else so you have two sets of eyes! Good luck;)

My minigrip has to be my favorite edc. I love that thing. In the morning when I'm picking my edc for the day, I'll often pick up a different knife then put back down and trade it for my 556 before I walk out the door. Good thing is you can find them cheap if you lose one. Anyway I hope you find it.

I hope you find that knife. Years ago I was on a trail in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and noticed a glint in the mud. To my surprise, it was an old Ascent that someone clearly dropped. I cleaned it up with a promise to take good care of the thing. If you never find that Mini Grip I would hope someone finding it will take the same care. If knives could tell stories.

A plow might hit the area and toss it off the road.

Wait til the snow melts and go over the shoulder and out to the tree line or out to 10' from the road edge with a metal detector.
You should find it.

Or treat yourself to a new one with aftermarkets!

At least it went out being useful. Still, that's a disappointing loss. Condolences!

I think I'll put a bit of cash away until I can get an equally nice one. I think this time, I'll go for corrosion resistance over toughness. What's a good steel Benchmade offers that doesn't rust easily? It doesn't have to hold a perfect edge for super long since I've been practicing with Arkansas sharpening stones and can put a new edge on it whenever I need to

With the Ritter being discontinued, I'd get a Ritter mini grip from knifeworks in M390. Can't beat that!
