A moment of silence for our lost ignorance

For our most beloved 'please ignore' thread. Taken from us far too soon(Pause For Dramatic Effect), it shall be sorely missed. We laughed, we cried, we loved and learned. It was truly a meeting of the minds, only nobody got there at quite the same time (PFDE). Excuse me, merely a single tear, a tear wept for (PFDE) the loss of a thread, a thread that was more than a thread. Ahh, how true the words once spoke by a great individual-'Tis better to have ignored and lost, than to have never ignored at all'(PFDE) I would like to thank the author of that quote, me. Yes, I'd like to thank me for sharing this universal truth with myself, and others. I'd also like to thank myself for thanking myself, and to also say I'm welcome in both cases. Oh, and, uh, thanks to Mo for starting the thread. And, uhhh... I guess everyone else for participating.

(PFDE)

Thank you, I'm welcome (deep, gracious bow, exeunt stage right, await momentous applause prompting innumerable curtain calls)

 HORRORS!!!! :o [pfde]
How could they do this thing?!  I didn't even get a chance to properly ignore the thread for a last time. Oh, woe is me, that I never fully ignored the thread the way it deserved! Oh, woe is us, that such absurdity was cut off in its prime, just waiting to be ignored for a little while longer.
Oh, well, perhaps even greater foolishness awaits us in a future thread...

Frank :barf:

I have a thought as to why that thread was appealing...

It has been said that "escapism" films are the hallmark of the season right now. People want to escape from the political realities of the time, and Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings is a good place to do it. Participating in the 'please ignore' thread was our escapism thread on bladeforums.

Such is my thought, anyways.

I ignored that thread so much, I now have the entire thing in its' own section in one of my scrapbooks. What a THREAD:D :D :D wolf

Although I was one of the last to ignore it, i feel that the time i did spend ignoring it was well spent quality time. I will miss the please ignore post. Godspeed good post Godspeed!

And we owe it all to Mo....Thanks Mo..May the fleas of a thousand Taliban camels feast happily on your lower region.. God bless and good night..

Crayola, by not participating in the escapism, have I then not escaped?

Does that mean I am permanently trapped in reality - with no route of escape available???!!!

NOoooooooooooooooooo!

11 pages and 218 posts! It was becoming an icon around here! Why, Mo, why? You started such a wonderful thing, and just when we were beginning to love it you ask to have it stripped away. :(

I'm sad. Very, (sniff) very sad.

PS: Ever notice that if you hit the submit reply button at just the right time the little green eye-rolling smile guy in the smile list looks stoned?

It seems to be a facet of man, if too many enjoy something that is not specifically within the bounds of the founding fathers, it must be taken away. Always to be remembered, at least I am thankful that on its last day I again took the time to enjoy each and every individual post. Appreciate what you have now, for one day it may be gone.

RH, worry not my friend. This htread is quickly turning into an escapism thread as well, so you are right where you need to be. Ed, your thoughts are very warming!

Knife content: I have some teal maple wood coming from forumite samhell (thanks man!) and now I need to design a small fixed utility/fighter to match the pretty scales. Any suggestions?
