A moment of tribute next week.

In reading the rest of the threads, it is indicated that we would like to have a moment of tribute that we can all share for Uncle Bill. Another thread indicated that the Buddhist would especially like prayers on the 7th day following the departure.

I would like us to get together in what ever manner you seem appropriate on Monday, April 4, at 4PM Pacific Time which would be one week from Uncle's passing. I think we can honor his soul very much in this way as it was important to him in many of his postings with us.

I think that is a great idea. It is 7pm for me here in New England.

I will plan on sending some smoke then.

Thanks Mamav. ;)

sounds great! 7 pm Eastern !

I intend to light a candle for Uncle Bill.

Grand idea- but that time does not allow anyone on Pacific or Mountain time to get home from work. Half the forum will miss it.
Unless of course Ca businesses can be persuaded some music and discharge of firearms in the parkinglot is a good thing...

I would like to see the "In Memorium, who was Uncle Bill" thread made sticky so anyone who wanders into the Cantina will understand whose portrait is over the bar.

I'll take off early if I can; otherwise I will find a way to make proper tribute while in duty status.

A moment of silence will have to do...... but count me in. I work in a call center.

Already picked up a pack of "nails" and a 6-pack of Heineken.

I second the notion.

Sounds good. Turns out 2B a good day for remembrance of heroes...Apr 4 was the day that the great visionary MLK was shot and killed. So pour a beer and light a candle for two of the toughest, most compassionate folks you'll ever know.

Too bad Ben Arown Awhile was banned, hadn't he known Uncle Bill for like over 30 years??? Bet he could do a good rememberance.

Benaround does not need the forum to remember his friend Bill. He made choices about his behavior here. Knowing Ben, I suspect he will do fine with his grief and real affection for Bill.

Does anyone have Ben Arown's E-mail address? He may not know of the news. It would be good if someone would let him know, and post if it was done. I'll do it if anyone can give me his address.

According to his old profile, his e-mail was...

(nospam)ptg701@pacbell.net

blah blah blah take out the (nospam) stuff.
