Hi All,

First Post, occasional lurker. Wanted to throw my hat into the ring after all the reading/drooling/anticipating this forum has given me so far.

I am a certified newb in the blade game. Had some beater folders before the bitten by the high end bug. First jump in I picked up a lion steel SR2. Loved and still dig the aesthetics, but, the blade came so dull and bunk from the factory I was relatively disappointed that my first folder over $50 did not live up to my expectations. Obviously a sharpen brought it to life but that sour taste from the initial disappointment remained.

After months of bouncing back and fourth on the sebenza, then sebenza 21 vs 25 prospect I bit the bullet and decided I was going to pony up the big bucks for what many say is the one to which all others are measured. Hit the purchase button on Knifeart and a long 3 day wait ensued. Anticipation suddenly became an almost painful feeling.

Then it arrived.

The first impression of the packaging only heightened my awareness that inside, something special lay. As I slowly removed the contents from the box, my grin grew. First impressions matter, and this one was one to remember.

Tight, precise, substantial, sharp. Flawless.

From an outsiders perspective, CRK is touted as such a prestigious mark I did think I would have to temper my expectations, how could a tool, designed to be used in such varying ways do so while maintaining a feel of, something more, something that could be appreciated on such a vast array of levels.

It does though and I find it difficult to explain even though I now spend the majority of my days with one. What I do know, this is one of those things that will move on from me to my boy.

Pics always rule the day, without further adieu, my seb with some of my other favorite things.

Congrats on the 25, I'm happy to hear of another happy 25 owner.
Nice rifle !

Great write up, keep up the good work :)

Great knife but then again I don't think Chris Reeve makes a bad one. ;)

Welcome to the forum and congratulations.

Congrats on your "first" Chris Reeve Knife!! You picked a nice one in the 25!!
All the best, Dave

Great knife for your first. I am sure it will not be your last. Thanks for sharing your story and welcome to BF.

Nice write-up not to mention first post!

Welcome!!!! From here on out, wether you buy a mid-tech or $2K custom, you will always compare them to CRK's and will appreciate CRK that much more. Ask me how I know.

Appreciate the welcome.

Most certainly will not be the last, a 21 is in the not so distant future, then looking to pickup a Spartan Akribis and a small 21.

The classifieds here is a place containing much peril for the bank statement.

Welcome to BF and the CRK forum. The 25 is only your first of several more CRK's. You know that, right.
