A morning office realization....

I just realized I would much rather be starting day 1 of the Woodland Ops Course than sitting at my desk waiting for a scheduling meeting and hoping the week doesn't go to crap between now and Thursday afternoon. :thumbdn:

"All that gear and no place to go....."

I slept great, work is quite nice today, though I would much rather be outdoors enjoying nature.

How strange the way things change. the outdoors were a thing to be beaten back and contained for the safety and prosperity of humanity, now its our place to escape to, from the trials and troubles of modern life.

Good call Captain, every day I deal with the public (I sell cell phones) and I wonder what the hell I'm doing at this place...

Monday's really suck! If all else fails just stare at the wall and imagine doing the things that you really don't want to do. Then think of all the good scenes from Fight Club.

What project should I bill that to? :D

I love mondays at work.. i get paid to plan my next expedition, browse online for lighter/better gear.. check my list of gear to bring in my backpack, studie with Garmin basecamp the latest toponav 1:20000 topo map of the area im going this weekend..

work kick arse :) :jerkit:

For a short term reinforcement that your life is unsatisfying...head home and watch Fight Club.

I'm not bashing Fight Club... I find it just as entertaining as most do.. but is noone else bothered by the fact that the original group of followers that the main character ropes in to his "fight Club" concept are initially exposed to a man kicking his own ass in a parking lot? That just makes no sense whatsoever, lol.

LOL from all of your posts, I find myself wondering what it would be like to work at a desk and surf bladeforums, having only worked labor or retail.

The guy in the office next to me smokes. He smokes probably 12 cigarettes a day at 3-4 minutes each so call it 36-48 minutes a day on average. I don’t smoke. I’m on BF way less than that. :D

Try overnights in a factory. Mindless. Can't wait to get back to days and working outside

The monotony! It’s there in most jobs, but I worked a summer building commercial refrigerators and it was the worst 3 months of my life.

Man, we’d just be wrapping up discussion on tracking skills and would be moving on to E&E. Sigh.

Project Mayhem.

The book makes perfect sense.

i second the hatred of mondays :grumpy:
