I'm in error, Larry?
How so?
The Pitcherblacker site states, "The knife itself is entirely stock, with no additional modifications added by the prop department. It is undoubtedly a production knife and comes with the matching sheath shown. It is most likely made in either China, Taiwan, or Pakistan. Though similar, the Helion Guard's dagger is not the United Cutlery Knight's Dagger (UC1144) designed by Kit Rae."
Nothing there contradicts what I've said about the knife. The eBay seller confirmed it's made in China.
You've also linked to my previous post asking about an entirely different knife. In that previous post, I was asking about the "jawbone handle" knife seen in the movie. While searching through the threads discussing "Riddick", IIRC a couple of members were asking about it. I've since learned that particular knife was made in its entirety by a Canadian prop company no longer in business.
In this case, I'm asking about an entirely different knife in the movie: an elusive unnamed dagger made in China, one that would be utterly forgettable if it hadn't appeared in a movie.
Nobody's ever located or even discussed the origin of this brand/ or model of knife on this board, unless I've missed it. Since you seem to be more adept at using Blade Forum's search commands, I would be most appreciative if you would link the thread on Bladeforums where this knife has been discussed in the past.
@ Phil and Merek.
It does look like a Bud K or SMKW product, doesn't it? It isn't in their catalogs, though. I'd guess it's something imported by Frost, Master Cutlery, or Tomahawk, but it doesn't appear on any current online catalogs of those firms, either.
...that's why I'm hoping some sharp-eyed Bladeforums member will come up with the gold!
