Ok here is a naive question. (Please do not shoot me down.)
I want to get a MOAB since it's such a cool knife...
Where do I get one ? They were never offered on the Busse site and I can't make it to these Blade shows...

Thanks guys

Arrange a second mortgage, post a want to buy add in the exchange, then pray someone responds :-)

There might be some available in the Ganzaa that's coming up... I think I saw one still out on the table Sunday afternoon at BLADE.

You ARE aware that these cost over 2 grand, right? ;) :D

I could be mistaken, but I thought there was one for sale on the exchange recently.

Jerry or Amy-O also hinted that there would be one in the upcoming Ganza.

It never hurts to call Amy-0 and ask nicely. :D

I believe I read in a post that the Snake Skin MOAB was $2,250.00! Which is fine because the MOABs should be rare and at that price they will remain rare. I bet that in-person knife shows will be the only place to snag one. A WTB ad couldn't hurt and try securing a proxy for next year's Knob Creek or Blade, or this year's Blade West for the off chance that one will be available there.

These below with magnum machined handles ('Tequila Sunrise' G-10 & black paper micarta) at BLADE were $2197 each (+ tax). I believe that the TS G-10 MOABs didn't sell out (IIRC), so they might make an appearance in the upcoming Ganza. Get yer $$$ ready! :D

Thanks that just killed the project :)
I just hope that Jerry will produce a CG model for the masses

Bet a CG Moab would go all of $1200........... easy ,,,,,,, possibly MORE ,,,,,, but one hellova Monster Blade :D :thumbup:

BTW,,,,,,,, RevolverRoger,,,,the only naive / stupid question is the one you don't ask!!!! This is a really friendly cool place,,,,and most Hogs are only too willing to answer, pretty much any query posted .

If you like large thick heavy blades you might wanna keep an eye out for a BattleMistress or a HOGFSH ,,,,,,,, both are monstrous serious choppers,,,,,,like , through cinder blocks!!!!!!!! and way more resonably priced,,,,, The MOAB is awesome,,,, if you need a knife as long as your leg,,,, :D

I bought a FFBM a while back and use it insanely often. I'm always in the look out for monster choppers (as users). But two grand is out of my league.

I really think my FFBM has all the chopping power I need in a one-handed knife. Maybe the KZ and MOAB have a little more. The FFBMs were not terribly expensive.
