Dear Mr. Til Bahadur,
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Rajesh Chhetri. I'm born
and brought up in New Delhi but our roots are back in Damoli, Nepal where my
relatives still live in village generally consisting Chhetri families. I'm
working for Australian High Commission New Delhi from the last 6 years. 75%
of my family has served the Indian Army. Many of them are still in the
Army. Same is the case with my wife, she also belong to defence family and
many of her relatives are still serving Indian Army. Her father has also
served in Gurkha rifles in Indian Army. They also have a glorious history
and many members in her family has won various distinguish army medals.
That's my introduction to you. Now, I would like to congratulate you for
your praise-worthy job --putting the introduction and as well as marketing
legendary GURKHAS weapon 'Khukri" in the Net. GURKHAS have won 13 Victoria
Cross Medals as far as I know. I cannot imagine a Gurkhas without a
Khukri......He is rather incomplete without it. I have seen many cheap
khukri's made up poor quality of material and people are really really
disgusted with its performance. But you are doing a good job......hat's off
for you!
Internet is the global medium of education and I feel we should take maximum
advantage to educate our new generation. Please do educate our kids through
your site about our glorious past and present and of course about Khukri
which is not merely a weapon for us Nepalese but also sacred arm which we
worship.
Jai Gurkha!!
