Todays mail brought 2 boxes.
The first box contained a a Canal Street MOP Cannitler which was ordered for the Wolverine Knife Club in MI. This is #26 of 50. Its a 3 bladed canoe style.

The 2nd box was a welcome home for a 2OT. When it left home it was minus 1 scale and the other was mostly bondo. The pen blade peeked enough to get caught on every thing.
In the hands of a skilled cutler, it has returned for what I hope will be many more years of service.
Here is a series of pictures showing the progression.

I asked that the blades remain unpolished and that the rest of the knife remain original as possible.

The cutler??

WOW I could look at that all night!!! Great choice on how you had it done its a real beauty. Id always like to think that someday I may get my hands on one of thoes but till then I'll keep lookin at yours and pretending its mine.--Joel s

That's a beauty of a canittler Larry, I recall that the master is quite a thick hunk of steel.
Excellent job on the 2OT as well, Kaleb's got a heck of a lot of talent!

G'Day Larry,Undressing the 2OT almost removes some of the mystery surrounding this knife....kinda reminds me of my wedding night.... Is it possible to show the knife closed? You said the pen blade was peeking through and was Kaleb able to rectify and if so how? I have 2OT Craftsman which has the pen sitting a tad higher than normal compared to my other two and have wondered if a skilled cutler like our beloved Kaleb out here in Oz would be able to rectify. If interested I will forward a photo of mine to you to see if it was similar to yours. Great Job by a Great Cutler. Hoo Roo

Hello Irv,

What a beauty!. Absolutely gorgeous!

BTW, Where is Muskrat Man? I have not seen him anywhere here for quite some time. I hope he is OK.

muskrat man got the boot from here but hes around I talked to him not too long ago about doing a knife for me. I gotta believe with the skills hes got he'll be lurking in the shadows of the knife guys forever. And very very talented!!!

OK grandall5200, thanks for the 411 on MM. After several searches I found more information in Service and Support about his banned status. Most unfortunate indeed. I really love what he did with Irv's 20T and you are quite right about his cutlery skills set. I wish him well and hope he will return at some point in the future. Either way I am sure he has no shortage of customers.
