Well, I am officially member #1536 of the Buck Collectors Club! Now I just have to read all the past newsletters, which I figure should take me about a month. I must say that I am enjoying the read and the access to the special Members Knives - I had no idea how beautiful those knives are.

On a different note, I got tired of waiting for my back ordered Cabela's AG 110 and ordered a Bass Pro 271 in 154 CPM steel. Now I just have to find patience to wait for that one.

The other day, I decided to give my 277 a rest and clipped a Spyderco BG-42 Carbon Fiber Military to my pocket. Now don't get me wrong, as Spyderco make a fine knife, but after an hour or so, I just had to strap my 277 on again. I found the 277 was smoother to open and close; easier to engage the liner lock; better looking; and overall a more solid and comfortable knife for less than half the price of the Military! I am not to the point of selling off my Spyderco knives, as I consider them as part of a collection, but I now am aware that the knives that I actually use and enjoy are Bucks.

So there it is then, the confession of a Buck addict. Long may the obsession rule. :D

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its money well spent!!!!!!!!!!!! Guaranteed ;)

...Congradulations and welcome to the Club A.P.F. Lotsa good reading and many great knives lie ahead for ya...:D:thumbup:

Welcome APF, the newletters are always something to look forward to. I do miss the times when Buck would have some "leftovers" advertised in the newsletter. I picked up a few neat knives from them. One was a 1990 damascus stag 110 for a great price. Buck had 10 of these and the newsletter said first 10 callers get one. Now stuff like that makes the newsletters pretty darn exciting. Maybe if Mr. Hauser reads this he can let us know if any such deals will be available in the future, or is it permanently a thing of the past. Welcome again APF!

Hi APF,

Another one bites the dust!!!! Welcome to the BCCI club. I hear that there will be a 120 offered to us club members in the March news letter!!!! I don't have a 120 in my small collection...But, I soon will :)

Thanks for the welcome, guys, it is much appreciated. Yes, I have been doing the math on a lifetime membership and in my case, the break even point is 5 years. I think that I will start saving. ;)

I have been a lifer for over a year now, I love it! I dont have to remember to mail my dues either!

I think you will love it!
Out of all the memberships etc. that I have/had, by far the BCCI life membership is the best! All of the info, and help with collecting, it is hard to beat!

Glad you made it !!!! If you can make the 20th anv. party in Post Falls this summer you will meet a LOT of your Buck-Brothers.....

What ever your knife needs are Buck has one that will "Getter" done..They are so much fun to collect too but start with 1 or 2 models.....I really love the 112s! 334 likes 110s, Wh4f love them all! Watch out,It really can get out of hand!!!!!!!!!!! Go for what you like, but lower cost models will allow you to have more, and buy more often...I hate to see a nice expensive rare 112 get by me,I want them all!

I hear ya, Bucksway! What really set the hook for me was my first Custom Shoppe 110. It was a BG-42 Brass Rivet Koa FG and I was absolutely dumb struck with it's beauty and quality. So, this year will find me ordering more Custom 110s', with an occasional diversion into the Kalinga and Alpha camp. It is going to be a good year.:D
