Bucky approved!!! This actual beaver was not harmed in the making of this sheath. Another one was terribly inconvenienced.

I was gonna wait till it gets here but I'm so excited and couldn't wait to share what Pugs has come up with for a little belt knife I carry. I know it's not a Khukri but sometimes you just have to pack something inferior ya know.

I'll of course post more when it gets here in a few days and hopefully when my piggy bank allows I got a pen knife and another small knife that need new Pugs clothes.

Here's some pics

And this part right here separates the men from the boys, or woman from the girls to be fair.
No simple wet molding here but a built up welt? Sweet.

That sheath looks great! I'm at the "Messing up kydex" level, so work with that fit and finish is only a goal.

I've messed up lots of kydex. I've always been a leather guy though. I just mess up kydex easier and faster than leather which I've not spent much time trying to learn. I sent the knife in one of my messed up kydex rigs to show him the ride height I like and all. He says he didn't laugh at it but I bet he did, he's just trying not to hurt my sensitive feelings.

I've often thought I'd like to learn it in depth to this type of quality but now I got Pugs, so maybe I'll study up on square dancing or macrame instead. Only so much room in my limited brain size, don't want to overdo ya know?

Wow that is really cool! I've always wanted one made with an alligator or crocodile backstrap (the spiky part on their backs).

very very cool-- I also love the idea of reptilian leather sheaths, is there any way we could buy a bunch and ship them to the sarki? or shark skin? how do we handle stuff like that if we want to send exotic materials to be used by the kami for projects , but we want them to have the rest ? can that be possible? because I would love to chip in for some farm harvested florida skins to be shipped to nepal to make it into a cool series of about 100 super frogs and traditional khukuri sheath ?

dunno logistics or if thats reasonable, if nothing else our local talent like pugs can pick up the slack :D

Very nice. Great size edc, I like the blade shape, it looks very useful.

I have an 18" Cobra that I've deconstructed the sheath and after epoxying the wood solid sometime I plan on covering it with cobra.

Can't wait till you post more pics of her at home. I have only made one other sheath with beaver tail for myself so you and I are the test subjects on durability. I also want to try different types of exotic leathers as mentioned gator especially, but boy is it pricey.

I'll post some more pictures soon. I'm showing it off around the office today.

Why does it feel sooooo cool to have something everybody else wants................

I think of Karda and that karambit. I'm sooooo envious too. I know both ends of the feeling as it were.

Bawanna, cool office were people appreciate fine things.

Pugs, awesome work. Do you have a homepage were we can see more and maybe order something?

Jens,
I don't have a web site but you can email me. Currently I'm very low on leather but will be restocking very soon.

And now the rest of the story........

I sent the little knife for new clothes.

Couple more pics of the Beaver

Isn't she lovely?

BUT, on the day it arrived I rolled in the back door and straight away see the familiar triangular box which just screams AUNTIE! Hmmmm, I'm thinking somethings up. I check the sender address and it's not Auntie????? So I was expecting the package from Pugs but things never arrive when they are supposed to. Wrong...Right on schedule. Well wife is pestering open it up and see what it is. So I go to cutting and had a moment of remembrance, seldom happens anymore. Mr. Pugs gave me specific instructions to open the box from the top.
Well those familiar with the much cherished Auntie boxes know there really ain't no top. Wife is like just cut. Nope, not happening. I got instructions here. So shore enough I find a little arrow that says top! Opposite end of what I had started on of course 50/50 wrong again.
So I start on the other end and what do I find?

To be continued........................................

Well this is what I pulled out.

We'd talked a few times about a nice Khukri sheath and making one that I could use as a full time sitting person. To back up just a little bit, yall might remember the 5 or 6 KVLUKS on DOD last week? Well I was pondering #4, but a coworker mentioned he wanted one so I ordered it for him, then got kind of smitten with # 2. But alas it got scooped up. So oh well. Well # 4 arrived in the usual short order and it was the first time I'd held the villager and danged if I didn't like it a whole bunch! Next time for me!
Well back to my story. I pulled this beauty out of the box and I'm checking out the sheath (exceptional quality I kid you not one bit) beautiful and well I'm starting to tear up here a bit, it turns out Mr Pugs with my little knife in hand ordered # 2 for ME! Got it, refused to post any sheath in progress pictures since he figured I'd know something. Made that beautiful sheath and sent it along with my little knife and it's new Beaver suit.

My wife wants to know what the deal is with me and all the good karma from HI and this forum? I told her I just don't know but I like it very very much.

Anyhow, Mr Pugs came up with the perfect sitting person scabbard. I can wear it several ways very comfortably.
Cross draw, handle down,

I may never be president but I'll always be good looking!
Handle up,

Another angle handle down,

A close up to see his extra personal touch

It fits like the glove it's suppose to be, easy in and out, and very secure. It ain't gonna fall out never.

I plan to wear this riding my mower. Always a branch or bush messing with me. I always think when I'm done I'll come back and trim that back some but I get off and don't get back. I'll do it now while I'm there. And if it scared the daylights out of the neighbors, I'm good with that too.

Mr Pugs I'm very grateful for your thoughts and efforts. My wife and my coworkers are very impressed with your talent and I suspect they might be wanting some leather clothes sometime too. I told them to get in the line that starts behind me....

Sleeveless shirt, showin' off the guns!

Very nice work on both sheaths, pugs!

the two posts above mine are perhaps the sexiest on the planet-- also yes bawanna I think many of us will be using pugs services when he gets in more leather :D

I am very happy that you like it Bawanna, it was my pleasure to do this for you. It just made me feel good to do it, and my friend that's what life is about! The beaver tail is very nice to work with and will serve you well. The khuk sheath was very fun to work on, wanted to make it work several ways for you. And I see it works as planned (Nice Guns by the way) nothing wrong with good karma and it seems like you have it. Again my friend enjoy the khuk and go cut something with it.
