So, after seeing a few of his blades for sale, and a NICE one Tony M picked up - I put in an order to Adventure Sworn for one of his bushcrafters. After seeing what Skog did with one of his blanks - I was psyched to see what he would turn out.

A week after the order was places - he dropped me a line showing me the scales. He was concerned how they were turning out, so he decided to stop, take photo's and see what I thought. I knew the specs were close - so I gave him some measurements and told him to do his best.

He PM'd me back a few days later, saying he was not happy, so he redid the scales.

Here is the final result. The blade is 01 and you will have to ask him for the specs.

Hi Talfuchre -

That is a real beauty!

I like the wonderful contour on the scales.

I'll bet that one is a joy to hold.

best regards -

That sure is a nice one. I can't tell what kind of wood that is. It looks too red to be ebony, and too black to be cocobolo. Jacaranda?

Just to think, I got to hold your special knife this week =) It sure is a looker. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Adventure Sworn has a nice shop, and turns out some beautiful blades on minimal equipment, the true sign of talent IMHO.

PS: he has an awesome electric forge, I think I might have drooled some...

Nice, I'm glad you're happy with what you see TF!

And yeah, it's cocobolo. It's pretty dark cocobolo, but my camera has been a bit screwy lately and it makes the wood show even a hair darker than it really is. It also has some black streaks in it as requested by TF.

It feels really great in the hand, and I'm glad I took the time to go back and fix what I wasn't happy with. I'm sure you'll love it; I'll be shipping it out in a few minutes!

Cody,

What I love about Cocobolo is that is gets even darker after use. In my opinion, it is nearly the perfect wood for handles.

Hlee,

PM him above - his name is Adventure Sworn on this site and Cody is his born name.

Just PM him - right now his turnaround is FAST.

I really like the contours near the front.
