Fellow Suspects,

We have a new convert to the cult of the Wave, today I met The General for a couple of beers and an all round chat about knives.

The General had expressed an interest in Emerson knives, the wave and how good are they. After a couple of hours with a Commander, SOFCK, CQC6 and CQC5, I am happy to say that we have a convert to our cause. :D

A lucky retailer somewhere will be getting the call/e-mail soon.

He even bought the beer!!

I'm busy converting one too. He saw me demonstrate the wave one time before a class started and before others straggled in.

We were discussing knives and self-defense and he metioned what he carried and I just showed him :)

From then on out. What other knives have the wave? Do you have that one? Can I see that one? Can you bring it in for me to handle it?

He mentioned that he is going to be putting in some added over time to get a Commander.

Converts are good, my old high schoool principal saw my shirt (not an Emerson, but a good brand) at a soccer game and asked about them. We got to talking and I demostrated the Wave for him on my SOCFK. His eyes glowed like a kid a christmas. :D It was a look of pure delight, so I figure the next time I run into him, he will have one.

Tis true I am afraid! I am converted to the cause... Whatever next? Has to be said though, Ed has some amazing knives! Cheers Ed, we will have to meet up again some time soon! It sure felt weird being the one doing the gasping at the cool knives!

I am pre ordering a Super Commander as we speak...

Well if you are going to get one...;)

Just kiding, I know it takes years of collecting and devotion, to make a claim to that lofty title!:(
With regards to the Super Commanders all being set aside a long time ago, all I can say is some do the talk but few do the walk. I may not have bags of cash, but when I say I will do something, I do just that or at the very least have a genuine go at doing it. As a formite told me, how many claimed they would buy a 98 Commander and even though they are for sale? How many bought them? If I remember correctly, they are still for sale on the Emerson site?
 
The '98s sold out on 10-11.
I was on hold when the last one sold.
Should have called five minutes earlier....:(

I called a few days ago [website still showed two available] they are definately gone :(
