I just received a custom Kobra intended as a gift for a friend of mine. Bura forged it, and it is an absolute beauty. It's light as a feather in my hand, and was made specially small since the friend it is intended for is pretty small herself. It is hands-down the most beautiful knife I have ever held in my hand! The blade is even hollow forged to further reduce weight (and in my opinion enhance the beauty). Don't even get me started on the scabbard, I could go on forever! All in all a completely stunning effort, thanks HI!

(since Geocities doesn't like to be linked to, just paste this URL in your address bar to view it: http://www.geocities.com/latro.rm/julies_knife.JPG )

Congrats Latro! Cool avatar, what is it, it looks kind of familiar!:) Bura is a great kami!

Congrats Latro!:)

I couldn't get that link to work so I could see the blade:( Is it just my computer?

Geocities is bad about that, the best way to see the pic is to open a new window and paste the URL for the pic in your address bar. That will usually do the trick!

The avatar is from an old greek coin, I found the picture on an auction site and figured it was a good size:D

I couldn't get the pic to show up yesterday, but tried again this am and there it is! That is pretty! What size is it? It looks small, but it's awfully hard to tell.

Is that a bone handle or the Nepali deer antler? Whichever it is, it looks really nice. Now I see what you meant by "Don't even get me started on the scabbard." Great!

I hope your friend Julie appreciates the quality of this knife. I can see some of it just from the pic, but I can also see that I'd like to hold it myself. (Purely to appreciate the craftsmanship and quality, you understand.:)) Just don't let it get into the hands of any other "researchers."

It measures right aroun 15" in length, so your perceptions are correct: it is pretty small:) The handle is barely large enough to fit my hand, but it will be just perfect for hers!

I believe the handle is deer antler, but I really can't say for sure due to lack of experience. It has some very nice looking color features, and I would assume a bone handle would be more uniform in color. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if I was wrong though:D

I can't get the link to work... even pasting it into a new navigator window... All I get is an ad with a big busted woman on it.... you didn't get THAT from Uncle did you??? :D:D:D

It SOUNDS like a really nice khuk... Spotted Deer Antler huh... hmmm....

I wonder.... Oh Uncle??? How much is that last Kobra going for??? Just curious... can't get another Kobra.. at least not before getting a WWII... or a Durba something or other...

Ben... thanks for sending me the photo....

$225-$275.00? From the photo I got, it is worth every penny. I just don't have that many anymore :(. But that's okay... I have found that the right khuk is available when I have the money... so I'll wait.

Boy that sure was a great looking khuk though... Bura definitely hit his A game when he made that one :D

We have too many models and I can't remember the prices. I rely on my nephews to keep track of the prices for me. Hell of a way to run a business but I never claimed this to be a business in the first place. It's more like a way of life.
