A new hunter in Desert Ironwood and A2

I have been an avid bow hunter for years, and am always looking for new hunting knives. I was considering picking up a couple more new Doziers, but after reading the excellent reviews of the BRK knives and seeing all the options, I decided to give one a try.

It arrived today, and I can honestly say, I was not disappointed.
The knife is nicely finished, has an outstanding edge on it and the sheath is nicely fitted. This particular model comes in at just under 8 inches, which is my favorite size for an all around game knife.

Nice, Bark River is great. I've got a Gunny and Hiking/Camping knife myself and love em'.

I have a weakness for fixed hunting knives, that is just a hair more than for Desert Ironwood scales. Together in one knife I just go gaga.....like when I looked at your knife:thumbup:. Pure sweetness! If this was a sales thread I would be typing "I'll take it"

Nice knife with some great looking burl. I just surfed the BRKs, is this the Highland Special from the Professionial Series? Looks like a great knife to have on a hunt - good luck this season.:thumbup: Cheers

It is the Highland Special Hawk. We have had a good season so far. We have been in Elk everyday that we have hunted, some were about 20 yards and couldn't get a clean shot :grumpy:...
The frustration of archery hunting. If we were rifle hunting, I would have tagged my deer and elk opening day.
I'm not gettin any younger though, and these hard hunts are makin me a little tired by the end of the day
