Hello all, this will mark my first time posting a thread up in here. This evening, during our Scout Troop's Christmas party, a friend of mine pulled out a very interesting traditional folder and gave it to me. It has been around the block a few times from the looks of it, and I thought I might post up some pictures here and see if anyone had any info to offer on it.

From what info I was able to find it is an Imperial Frontier, and while it looked like a model 4134 in the old catalog picture I was able to find here:

the measurements aren't quite right for it.

Anyways, the fella that gave that to me said he pulled it off an inmate while he was working at Leavenworth. I inquired if it was someone famous, more than half joking, to which he replied with a very firm "Yes, but I can't tell you who it was for many more years." I thought that added a little intrigue to this little knife that was pretty neat. So, there you have it. Hopefully someone might know a little more about this style of knife, maybe when it might have been made or something. All in all, a very interesting little gift to make the night a little more interesting.

Imperial Frontier series knives make great users I've got a trapper somewhere that I edc from time to time I picked it up at a gun show for 5 bucks so I've got very little invested in it IMO they are/were excellent values.

Welcome aboard DerekH! My late grandfather had some of those Frontier Imperial Stockman, as mentioned great users!
