Hi guys whats up. As I was searching the forum last night to find a knife maker for a pal of mine I came upon a great young knife maker and got it touch with him. His name is Luke Freeouf. Hi is from Creet Ne. We got talking on the phone and well he seems like a great young fella and he, in my humble opinion, has the potential to become a great knifemaker.
Our conversation went on for a hour or more we talked about knife steels, sheaths, heat treating and how he got into knife making in general. He makes just about any size blade and mostly uses 1095, he either uses the stock removale process or hot forges his blades. He get the heat treating done professionally and makes his own kydex sheaths.

In the near future he and I will be working together to make a web site and we also will be having a contest or two with the prize being one of his knives.

So if crave for a new knife I suggest you get in touch with him, his email is df65537@navix.net Watch this fella he has potential to go places with his great blades. I will be posting some pics soon. Thanks all. Geoff.

Hi everyone,
Thanks Geoff and Brian....your very kind. A few corrections though. I do my own heat treating. Geoff, the only thing i meant was that when i make your big blade for you, I'd like to have it done professionally. My forge is slighty small. It is very important to get a even heat on the blade....that is why i will probably borrow a torch to do it or just send it off.
Chiro75, you have quite a rep. as sheath maker. What kinda of tools do you recommend? so far all i have used is a hand heat gun and cotton gloves(i occasionally use the natural gas grill out back...hehe). Also what do you use to hold the kydex together? Could i buy some from you...or maybe trade one of my knives for some rivets or screws? All have had is braided fishing wire and a drill with a small bit. I drill holes and lace it like a boot.It looks good though.
Brian, i will have your knife out by monday most likely. That would be so nice of you to do review on it.Thanks so much!
Geoff, I have a guy sending me a tracing of the BM. This way i get it exactly like it!It may take a month to get it done (although i do have spring break coming up and no plans)
Thanks, and if anybody is interest in what i make feel free to email me! I will post some pictures some hopefully!
Luke
