A new membership option

Would you consider another option in the membership section? It could be a nice fundraiser. I would like it to be called:

Banned by Request.

Cost: $10

Request can only be made by the member.

Because you are Spark and you can do anything you want to.

Members who get pissy/bitchy and want to make a point by ending their membership by making their little statement could do so. But there would have to be a time limit before they could request to be unbanned.

Oh well. It was just a thought....

Actually I kind of like the idea.

It needs it own forum though, something like "One more thing before I leave you forever". That way they get a last chance to act like a jerk and Spark makes $10 off the deal.

I like it, too, but the fact is... Spark would make nothing off the deal.

Because just once it would be nice for a troll to say "How do I delete my account because I'm never coming back ever?" ... and then actually stay away.

They always come back, often in less than 30 minutes, just to see what someone else is saying about them.

The problem with this is that certain members are able to get banned for "free" just by trolling, spamming, or breaking the rules of the forum. Who would ever pay for the right to be banned when all they have to do is step up their misbehaving and have it automatically done?

To me, charging money for it would at least indirectly cause more headaches than the lousy $10 is worth.

Yup, got to go with this logic here. Besides if one wants to leave a parting gift of a $10.USD or any donation amount prior to a permanent departure, that's always still an option.

Why would I do this?

I don't know why but that response is hysterically funny to me. I keep re-reading it and laughing harder and harder.

Granted it's been one of those days at work and I am a bit further off kilter than usual, but that response is funnier to me than anything in W&C.

i think it would make more sense if it was other members making the request for the banning
if you get ten or more gold or higher members paying the $10 each and requesting so and so be banned they are out
