My buddy, Ray, just sent me some pics of his newest knife. Ray doesn't make a lot of knives anymore, as he suffers from a lifetime of carpentry work, swinging hammers etc.

I love his work. There is a wholeness about it, and a story behind every work that is up for interpretation. His knives have a feeling and an aura about them that is rare in contemporary custom cutlery.

Thanks for sharing that one Lorien. Ray has been one of the makers that inspired me to take up the craft.

So glad to see this thread, I have missed seeing his work. Without doubt the most recognizable style in the knife community. That said I really appreciate his work.

I believe it is.

He won Best bowie at the show with another forge finish piece that was even sweeter.
