I love the simplicity of the pouch style sheath. Always will.

However, I want to start offering, regularly, another style of sheath.

Toward that end - I will be offering a "pancake" style sheath. I call this design the "Kite Shield" as it is loosely modeled after the Kite Shields carries in the 12 and 13 hundreds.

It will come only in single stitch and will be made for at least 8 of the Fiddleback designs. It also will be offered with or without a removable dangler for versatility in carry. As always the leather is veg tanned 8 ounce American leather of very high quality.

Prices on these will be 95 shipped and 105 shipped (with Dangler).

I finished this one with a Mottled Finish I have been experimenting with.

As always , with my sheath, the hardware can be had in Nickel or Brass. Just specify on purchase.

This sheath is for sale by the way - it fits, Arete (Shown) Secondly is a set of Bushcrafter, Bushfinger, Terrasaur, Recluse, ASP style sheaths.

Thanks for checking this out and your continued support.

That is a very nice addition to the line-up. I like the mottled color also to add some character.

I guess the custom project you did for my BR Canadian Camp influenced your decision to offer this design for a broader spectrum of knives. I have always liked your pouch sheaths, but it is nice to have a design option for some knives or applications. The ambidextrous nature of the pancake sheath is another plus of that design.
