A new small folder – but who made it?

Hi all

I just returned from a wonderful holiday in Provence (France) near Aix-En-Provence. Here I bought a small folder marked 1515 Thiers – France. The blade is bearing a small mark – an capital M in a small square box. The knife is small (5 cm blade) and the handle is made of buffalo horn. The guy in the store couldn’t help me with information about the maker. Can any of you?

Hi JMH

It looks very much like it, but it has neither the lizard on the blade nor the metal end of the handle. The blade shape is exactly like the one I have. Unfortunately I can’t post pictures I have some trouble upgrading my membership.

Carl, I did a Google search on "1515 Thiers" to find that link above...you might try that...one of the Google results may show your exact knife.
