I just posted this over in the custom knives section and thought it might be of interest here.

Interesting piece! Looks like it would hit like a ton of bricks!

Thanks.. But it is actually a fast blade with the POB at 3.5" in front of the guard.

It may be fast, but it still looks like it's got a lot of cutting power! Didn't mean to imply that it looked heavy--efficient would be the word. Just 'cause a blade hits like a ton of bricks doesn't mean it has to feel like one! :D:thumbup:

I love how you continue to goose the Japanese-style blade. :D I love Japanese blades, but the purists in the crowd always throw me off. I especially like what you've done with your handle treatment on this one.

Yeah I understand where the purists come from, but as long as you're not specifically advertising a sword as being historically accurate or intended for JSA usage then griping about authenticity seems overmuch. :)

As one of those purists, I love this sword.
Great job, Stuart. Excellent shape to the blade.

Thanks all! Yeah, there's some Japanese influence for sure but I strayed a little further on this one. It was tough to make but fun as well.

In my wildest dreams, I could not have done a better job creating what I would consider the perfect sword. Love it, a lot.

Looks fast, but would hit hard.
